Custom Wood & Wood-Clad Gates

Natural wood appearance supported by a reinforced gate frame and practical moisture clearance.

Natural wood appearance supported by a reinforced gate frame and practical moisture clearance.

A wood gate needs structure underneath its appearance. We plan framing, board attachment and hinges so moisture movement and the weight of cladding do not turn a clean frontage into a sagging leaf.

Repairs can involve individual boards, hardware or the frame itself. We inspect the source of movement or decay before replacing surface material, and assess any added cladding load before automating the gate.

Wood and frame faults

  • Boards split or loosen at fasteners
  • The latch end sags
  • Moisture damage reaches the lower edge
  • New cladding makes the operator struggle

Find what is carrying the leaf

We inspect frame stiffness, hinge support, board attachment and clearance from pavement or soil. Local board repairs make sense only when the structural frame remains stable.

For new work we review cladding weight, board spacing and finish care, then size supports and hardware for the completed gate. Automation is selected after that load is known.
