How we size and install
Operator selection starts with gate weight, leaf length, wind load on solid panels and the number of cycles per day. An undersized motor runs at its limit every open and fails early.
We confirm the gate moves freely by hand before automating anything. Automation multiplies an existing mechanical problem, it does not hide it.
Power is planned next: a dedicated run where mains power is available, or a solar and battery arrangement where trenching is impractical.
Safety devices are installed and tested to UL 325 practice — reversing sensors, photo-eyes and correct force settings — then we walk you through remotes, keypad and app control before we hand it over.

What affects the scope and the price
- Gate weight, length and whether the panel is solid or open picket
- Daily cycle count — a shared driveway is a different duty class to a single home

Living with an automatic gate
Test the safety reverse periodically. If the gate does not stop and back off when something interrupts it, stop using it and call for service.
Battery backup units have batteries that age. Replacing one on schedule is cheaper than being locked out during an outage.
