Gate Installation
Custom driveway and pedestrian gates fabricated and installed to fit your property.
Custom-built driveway, RV and pedestrian gates engineered for Southern California properties — measured, fabricated and installed by our own crews.
Every gate we install starts with an on-site measurement of your driveway slope, post footing conditions and power availability. We fabricate in our own shop, so panel spacing, height and finish match your home rather than a catalog.
Most residential single-gate installations are completed in one day, including hinge posts, hardware and a full operational test. Larger estate and commercial entries are scheduled in phases so your property is never left unsecured overnight.
When a new gate is the right call
- The driveway is open to the street and you want a controlled entry point
- An old gate has rusted through at the bottom rail or hinge posts
- Your opening has been widened, repaved or re-graded and the old gate no longer fits
- An HOA or insurer has asked for a secured vehicle entrance
- You are adding an operator and the existing gate is too heavy or too flimsy to automate

How we install a gate
We measure the clear opening, the slope across it and the swing or slide path, because a driveway that rises even a few inches changes the hinge geometry and the ground clearance.
We check the footing conditions. Post depth is set by gate weight and soil, and a gate that will later carry an operator needs a footing sized for that load from the start.
Panels are fabricated in our own shop, so picket spacing, top profile, height and finish are built to your opening instead of trimmed from a stock size.
On install day we set posts, hang the leaf, fit hardware, check the swing through its full arc, and test the latch and stops before we leave.
Configurations we build
- Single and double swing
- Best on level openings with room to swing inward or outward.
- Slide and rolling
- For short driveways or slopes where a swing leaf would drag or block.
- Cantilever
- No track across the drive — useful where the ground moves or floods.
- Bi-fold
- Folds back on itself when the opening is wide but the setback is shallow.
- Pedestrian gates
- Matched to the driveway gate so the frontage reads as one design.
What affects the scope and the price
- Clear opening width and total gate weight
- Driveway slope and drainage across the swing path
- Whether power and a conduit run already reach the gate line
- Soil and existing hardscape at the post locations
- HOA, city or fire-access requirements for the entry
What's included
- Swing, slide, cantilever and bi-fold configurations
- Wrought iron, steel, aluminum and wood-clad panels
- Powder-coated finishes with rust-resistant primer
- Permit-ready drawings for HOA and city approval
After installation
Hinges and rollers benefit from lubrication a couple of times a year, more often near the coast where salt air is harder on hardware.
Keep the swing path clear of gravel, planter creep and irrigation heads — most early wear on a new gate comes from something the leaf is dragging over.
