Pool Fence
Code-compliant pool fencing and self-latching gates to keep your pool area secure.
Pool-code compliant fencing and gates designed to keep children and pets safe while preserving your view.
We install removable mesh pool fences, permanent aluminum pool fencing and glass pool barriers that meet local safety codes for height, gap spacing and self-latching gates. Our crews confirm footing conditions on hardscape such as concrete, pavers and decking.
Each pool fence is measured to fit the exact pool shape and coping, and gates are positioned for convenient adult access while remaining difficult for small children to open.
When you need a pool barrier
- A new pool or spa that has to be enclosed before it can be used
- An existing barrier with gaps, a low section or a gate that no longer self-closes
- A house wall forming part of the enclosure without compliant door protection
- A gate latch mounted low enough for a child to reach
- Selling or insuring a property and needing the barrier brought up to standard

How we approach compliance
We survey the whole enclosure, not just the fence run. A barrier is only as good as its weakest side, and that is often a house door or a side-yard gate rather than the fence itself.
Heights, vertical gaps and ground clearance are set to the barrier requirements that apply to the property, and gates are hung to swing away from the pool.
Every gate is fitted with a self-closing hinge and self-latching hardware, with the release positioned out of easy reach from the pool side.
We test each gate repeatedly from part-open and fully open positions before handover — a latch that only catches from a full swing is not a compliant latch.
Barrier types
- Aluminum pool fence
- Corrosion-resistant and the most common permanent choice around chlorinated water.
- Ornamental iron
- Matches existing ironwork; needs a finish specified for poolside exposure.
- Mesh safety fence
- Removable sections for households that want the yard back seasonally.
- Glass and frameless panels
- Keeps the view across the pool while still forming a barrier.
- Self-closing gate hardware
- Magnetic latches and adjustable hinges rated for pool use.
What affects the scope and the price
- Total enclosure length and how much existing fencing can be reused
- Whether a house wall or doors form part of the barrier
- Deck material and how the posts must be anchored into it
- Grade changes and steps around the pool surround
- Number of gates and their required swing direction
What's included
- Removable mesh and permanent aluminum pool fencing
- Glass pool barriers for modern homes
- Self-closing, self-latching gates and latches
- Code-compliant height and spacing for Southern California
Ongoing safety checks
Test the self-closing gate monthly. Hinges drift out of adjustment and a gate that rests an inch short of the latch is an open gate.
Chlorine and pool chemistry are hard on hardware. Rinse latches and hinges and replace corroded parts rather than forcing them.
