Swing Gate Installation & Repair

Single and paired swing gates with measured arcs, stable hinges and coordinated operators.

Single and paired swing gates with measured arcs, stable hinges and coordinated operators.

A swing gate's clearance must be checked from fully closed to fully open. Driveway rise, parked vehicles and walls can prevent a standard leaf from opening safely even when it fits the opening.

Two leaves add coordination requirements. We inspect each hinge and support independently and then test synchronized travel, stops, locks and safety coverage as a complete system.

Problems at the hinges and opening arc

  • The latch ends drop or scrape
  • One leaf starts or stops before the other
  • An actuator bracket moves or cracks
  • The gate strikes a wall, car or rising pavement

Restore geometry before adjusting travel

We examine hinge wear, post plumb, footings and leaf alignment before operator settings. A shifted support can change an actuator's geometry and place unnecessary strain on the drive.

For new work we measure the complete arc and available setback, plan stops and choose suitable actuators. Final testing covers both leaves and their separate entrapment areas.

Leaf and actuator choices

Single leaf
A simpler arrangement where one full-width swing arc has clear space.
Paired leaves
Shorter individual arcs, with additional hinges, controls and synchronization.
Articulated or linear drive
Selection depends on hinge setback, mounting space and manufacturer geometry.

What affects the scope and the price

  • Leaf length and wind exposure
  • Post and footing repair
  • Actuator mounting geometry
  • Two-leaf wiring and lock coordination

What's included

  • Single and double leaf design
  • Hinge and post alignment
  • Actuator geometry assessment
  • Paired travel and safety testing

Do not defeat obstruction protection

Keep the entire arc clear, including the area behind each leaf. Report changing gaps or bracket movement early; never reach through a moving gate to operate a latch.
